From Domaine William Fèvre's Vaulorent holdings (low yields of 34 hl/ha in 2019), this steep site's marl-rich Kimmeridgian limestone mirrors Les Preuses terroir. Hand-harvested Chardonnay undergoes short pneumatic pressing, light settling, natural fermentations; 40-50% aged 14-16 months in French oak barrels (with 5-6 months on fine lees), balance in stainless steel vats, reaching 13% alcohol while balancing density and freshness.
Tasting Notes
Cool, elegant nose of white-fleshed fruit, floral notes, iodine, passion fruit, citrus oil, and green orchard fruit. Medium to full-bodied with super-sleek refinement, ample minerality, caressing satiny texture, racy acidity, saline complexity, and a long, dry, iodine-inflected finish.
