Bodega Chacra Chardonnay Rio Negro 2024 is a Burgundian-inspired Patagonian white from 40-year-old ungrafted vines on calcareous alluvial soils, crafted with Meursault's Jean-Marc Roulot. Pale gold with green highlights, it offers bright orchard fruits, citrus, honeysuckle, and pronounced minerality with balanced acidity and subtle texture.

Long Description
Piero Incisa della Rocchetta (Sassicaia heir) partnered with Roulot to graft Chardonnay onto century-old Merlot rootstocks in Rio Negro Valley's windswept, mineral-rich plots. Organically farmed, hand-harvested grapes ferment in barrel with native yeasts, age on lees for complexity without malolactic, yielding 12% ABV elegance that rivals fine Meursault through Patagonia's cool climate and limestone expression.

Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow hue; aromas of honeysuckle, limes, green apples, orchard fruits, citrus zest, and chalky minerality. Full-bodied palate reveals nuanced complexity, bright acidity, tropical balance, lingering stone fruit, and harmonious saline finish.

Awards and Accolades
Top 5 Patagonia wine by critics; 2022 vintage scored 96/100 Wine Front

Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 10-12°C in a Chardonnay glass. Drink 2026-2030+ for evolution; pairs with roast chicken, tuna/salmon, creamy pasta, or shellfish.
