From Bruna Giacosa's Neive-based estate, late-harvested (Oct 4) Asili grapes underwent 20 months large barrel aging before July 2024 bottling at 15% ABV. This hot-dry vintage paradoxically yields fresh, pure Nebbiolo through site selection and skill, emphasizing Asili's translucent energy over power in a year defying expectations.
Tasting Notes
Jewel-toned ruby; perfumed nose of ripe strawberries, raspberries, cedar, sandalwood, iron shavings, violets, roses, and minerals. Medium-bodied palate offers chalky tension, grippy tannins, steely acidity, crushed raspberry-cherry flavors, and extremely long, lightly chewy finish.
