Erath is one of Oregon’s pioneering wineries, with deep roots in the Dundee Hills. The Resplendent designation is used for a higher-tier, often boutique Pinot Noir that highlights the winery’s best blocks and vineyard sites. The 2019 vintage in Oregon was favorable, producing wines with balanced ripeness, bright acidity, and refined tannins.
Tasting Notes
Expect red cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, layered with subtle earth, spice, and soft oak. The palate is typically medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, bright acidity, and a smooth, lingering finish.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 14–16°C. This Pinot Noir is ready to drink now and can also hold nicely for 5–8 years, developing more complexity and depth while retaining its signature fruit and elegance. It pairs well with roasted poultry, duck, grilled salmon, and mushroom-based dishes.
