From Ferrari Trento, Italy’s pioneering metodo classico house founded in 1902 in the Trentino region, the Perlé 2018 is a refined 100% Chardonnay sourced from select high-altitude vineyards (400-700 meters) on the slopes of the Dolomites, featuring calcareous, mineral-rich soils that impart exceptional structure and finesse. Hand-harvested grapes from the outstanding 2018 vintage—cool and slow-ripening, yielding concentrated fruit with bright acidity—undergo gentle pressing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and secondary fermentation in the bottle with a minimum of 60 months’ aging on lees to develop profound complexity. As Ferrari’s flagship vintage cuvée, this production yields a pale gold sparkling wine with persistent fine mousse and majestic purity.

Tasting Notes An elegant, complex vintage sparkling with ripe citrus and toasty depth, reflecting Trento’s mountain terroir. The nose reveals lemon curd, green apple, toasted hazelnut, and hints of brioche, white flowers, and chalk. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and creamy, with vibrant acidity, fine bubbles, and flavors of citrus pith, pear, and subtle pastry, leading to a long, mineral-laced finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2018 Perlé earned 94 points from James Suckling for its creamy texture and focused elegance.

Serving and Cellaring Serve chilled at 8-10°C without decanting to preserve effervescence. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with lobster, truffle risotto, or aged cheeses. Enjoy now through 2035, during which it will develop profound nutty and truffle-like nuances.
