This 2015 vintage Brut comes from Champagne Henriot, a house known for slow cellar aging and a precise, elegant style. The wine is reported as a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the 2015 vintage shows the balance of ripeness and freshness expected from a strong Champagne year. Henriot also ages its Champagnes in deep chalk cellars for far longer than the legal minimum, which helps develop complexity and texture.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows dried apricot, lemon, yellow apple, nougat, sponge cake, baking spices, and chalky minerality. On the palate it is dry, medium-bodied, fruit-rich yet fresh, with a creamy mousse, good acidity, and a long mineral finish.
