La Princée is a South-facing Saint-Aubin cuvée assembled from several parcels around the village, giving it a broader, more complete expression than a single-site wine. In 2022, it shows the house’s restrained, precise style: ripe but controlled fruit, firm mineral drive, and a layered texture that stays fresh rather than heavy. It is a wine that balances openness with structure, making it one of the more accessible Saint-Aubin bottlings from the domaine.
Tasting Notes
The wine opens with apple blossom, crisp orchard fruit, white peach, and a touch of green melon. On the palate, it moves with energy and tension, showing wet stones, a hint of lemon curd, and a salty, mineral finish that feels long and clean.
Awards and Accolades
90/100 — William Kelley, Wine Advocate.
91/100 — Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve chilled, around standard white Burgundy temperature. It is already approachable, but it should also develop well over the medium term, with a drinking window that extends for several years.
