Hubert Lamy Santenay Les Hates Rouge 2021 (Clos des Hâtes) is a structured village-level Pinot Noir from Santenay's clay-limestone soils bordered by Premier Cru sites, offering dark berry depth, floral lift, and savory spice in a precise, age-worthy style. Ruby red in color, it balances ripe fruit concentration with vibrant freshness and firm tannins.

From the 0.67-ha Clos des Hâtes parcel (once owned by Romanée-Conti proprietors) near 1er Cru Passetemps, featuring deep clay-limestone soils; biodynamic farming by Olivier Lamy with hand-harvest into small crates. Destemmed, fermented in tanks with 70% whole-cluster for spice, followed by malolactic and 12 months in French oak (25% new), no fining or filtration, yielding 13.5% alcohol in the taut 2021 vintage.

Tasting Notes
Fine pink to ruby hue; aromas of cassis, raspberry, peony, violet, black fruits, citrus, cinnamon, and oak spice. Medium-bodied palate shows pure red fruit intensity, soft structure, savory earthiness, powdery tannins, bright acidity, peppery depth, and sappy, balanced persistence.
