Highlights
- 100% Pinot Noir sourced from young vines planted in the 1.70-hectare Les Veuillots parcel, a high-altitude lieu-dit situated in Tonnerre, just east of Chablis.
- The vineyard's distinct clay-limestone soils impart a crunchy, mineral-driven tension that beautifully offsets the grape's natural red-fruited charm.
- Farmed organically with a deep commitment to biodiversity, minimal soil tilling, and strict avoidance of synthetic chemicals.
- Vinification adheres to Arnaud’s low-intervention philosophy: partially destemmed, spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts, and managed with ultra-gentle extraction to preserve absolute fruit purity.
- The 2023 vintage offers brilliant, sincere fruit character, bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions to maintain its lively, energetic profile.
Tasting Notes
Pours a brilliant, translucent ruby core with a bright rim. The nose is highly expressive and undeniably fresh, leaping from the glass with pure aromas of wild strawberry, crunchy red cherry, and cranberry, accented by delicate hints of crushed peppercorn and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it is light- to medium-bodied and beautifully focused. The vibrant red fruit is carried by a spine of mouth-watering, mineral-laced acidity and framed by impeccably fine, silky tannins, culminating in a pristine, energetic, and highly refreshing finish.
Serving Suggestion
- Temperature: Serve slightly chilled at 14–15°C (57–59°F) in standard Burgundy bowls to enhance its bright, lifted aromatics.
- Decanting: Minimal aeration required; simply open 30 minutes before serving. Pairs wonderfully with roast poultry, charcuterie, or a classic mushroom tart. Best enjoyed in its vibrant youth, from now through 2029.
