Collection: Jeremy Arnaud
Domaine Jérémy Arnaud (Chablis, Burgundy)
One of Chablis’ most exciting young micro-producers—crafting highly sought-after, terroir-transparent Chardonnays with precision, extended lees aging, and striking saline tension.
Quick Facts for Consumers
- Style: Chiseled, saline, and crystalline. The wines showcase the classic Kimmeridgian oyster-shell minerality of Chablis, enriched by long, undisturbed lees aging that adds mid-palate texture and integration without any new oak interference.
- The Rising Star: An enologist and engineer by training, Jérémy Arnaud launched his eponymous label in 2016 after reclaiming a tiny 0.55-hectare family parcel in the steep Vau de Vey Premier Cru. Working out of the village of Viviers, he has quickly become a cult favorite among Burgundy insiders.
- Patient Winemaking: Arnaud firmly believes that great Chablis requires time. He utilizes exceptionally long élevage—often extending up to 18 to 24 months for his Premier Crus—allowing the wines to naturally stabilize and develop profound aromatic depth before bottling.
The Estate at a Glance
| Estate Size & Scope | A true micro-domaine encompassing roughly 1.5 to 2 Hectares in total, centered on parcels in Chablis and the neighboring Tonnerre appellation. |
| Farming | Strict organic principles. Arnaud practices rigorous canopy management, promotes biodiversity within the vineyards, relies on intense manual labor on steep slopes, and harvests entirely by hand. |
| Winemaking | Gentle pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation with native indigenous yeasts. Élevage is tailored to the parcel, utilizing a mix of stainless steel tanks, older neutral French oak barrels, and demi-muids. The wines see minimal sulfur additions and are bottled unfined and typically unfiltered. |
| Signature Cuvées | Chablis 1er Cru "Vau de Vey", Chablis "Bisson", and Bourgogne Tonnerre "Les Puits". |
| Critical Acclaim |
William Kelley (Wine Advocate): Consistently highlights Arnaud as one of the most promising new talents in Chablis, praising his thoughtful, low-intervention approach and the striking purity and cut of his limited-production cuvées. Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): Commends the young winemaker for his patience in the cellar, noting that his extended aging regimen yields Chablis with impressive textural harmony and laser-like terroir focus. Allen Meadows (Burghound): Applauds the estate's classicist aesthetic, recognizing the wines for their vibrant acidity, pronounced Kimmeridgian minerality, and complete lack of modern oak makeup. |
