Crunchy Red Cherry, Peppery Spice, Silky Tannins, and Vibrant Tonnerre Purity

Crafted by rising star Jérémy Arnaud, this energetic Pinot Noir hails from the high-altitude Les Veuillots parcel in Tonnerre. Farmed with strict organic principles and vinified with minimal intervention, it bursts with crunchy red berries, wild strawberry, and subtle earthy spice. Light on its feet yet beautifully structured, this is a brilliantly transparent, crystalline red Burgundy that champions freshness and purity.

Highlights

  • 100% Pinot Noir sourced from the Les Veuillots lieu-dit, a cool-climate, high-altitude parcel situated in the Tonnerre region near Chablis.
  • The vineyard’s distinct rocky clay-limestone soils impart a crunchy, mineral-driven tension that perfectly offsets the grape's natural red-fruited charm.
  • Farmed organically with a deep commitment to biodiversity, minimal soil tilling, and strict avoidance of synthetic chemicals.
  • Vinification adheres to Arnaud’s low-intervention philosophy: partially destemmed, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, and extracted ultra-gently.
  • The 2023 vintage offers brilliant, sincere fruit character, bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions to maintain its lively, energetic profile.

Tasting Notes

Pours a bright, translucent ruby core with a pale rim. The nose is highly expressive and undeniably fresh, leaping from the glass with pure aromas of wild strawberry, crunchy red cherry, and cranberry, accented by delicate hints of crushed peppercorn and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it is light- to medium-bodied and beautifully focused. The vibrant red fruit is carried by a spine of mouth-watering, mineral-laced acidity and framed by impeccably fine, silky tannins, culminating in a pristine, energetic, and highly refreshing finish.

Serving Suggestion

  • Temperature: Serve slightly chilled at 14–15°C (57–59°F) in standard Burgundy bowls to enhance its bright, lifted aromatics.
  • Decanting: Minimal aeration required; simply open 30 minutes before serving. Pairs wonderfully with roast poultry, charcuterie, or a classic mushroom tart. Best enjoyed in its vibrant youth, from now through 2029.
