From La Chablisienne, a historic cooperative founded in 1923 in France's Chablis appellation, the La Pierrelée Chablis 2022 is a refined 100% Chardonnay sourced from a selection of parcels across the appellation's communes, featuring Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils with vines averaging 20 years old that impart distinctive minerality and elegance. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2022 vintage—characterized by warm days and cool nights yielding concentrated yet fresh fruit—undergo cold static settling, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and lees aging for 8-10 months to enhance texture while preserving purity. Certified with HVE3 and Terra Vitis for sustainable viticulture, this production yields a pale gold wine with silver highlights and vibrant precision.

Tasting Notes An elegant, mineral-driven white with vibrant citrus and subtle flinty complexity, reflecting Chablis's Kimmeridgian terroir. The nose unveils lemon zest, green apple, white flowers, and hints of flint and wet stone. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and poised, with crisp acidity, silky texture, and flavors of citrus pith, pear, and chalky minerality, leading to a long, refreshing finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2022 La Pierrelée Chablis earned 91 points from Vinous for its vibrant acidity and mineral-driven finesse.

Serving and Cellaring Serve at 10-12°C with 20-30 minutes of chilling to accentuate aromas. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with oysters, grilled seafood, or fresh goat cheese. Enjoy now through 2032, during which it will develop subtle honeyed and nutty nuances.
