(Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy 90-93) Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau sometimes takes the Champs Gains out of barrel earlier, but not this year as the younger section of vines gets older. There is much more flesh to this than in some years. The fruit tastes riper than some, but there is a good stony underlay. This should turn out very well, but for less long keeping. Tasted: October 2020.
