Olivier Merlin Pouilly-Fuissé 2014

Olivier Merlin Pouilly-Fuissé 2014

From the renowned Olivier Merlin in Mâconnais, Burgundy, the Pouilly-Fuissé 2014 is a sophisticated Chardonnay from premier terroirs in La Roche-Vineuse and Fuissé. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from 40-year-old vines on clay-limestone soils, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in French oak. Aged 18 months in oak (25% new), it offers a golden hue and complex maturity.

Winemaking Process

Merlin’s meticulous craftsmanship defines this wine. The 2014 vintage, from a balanced year, undergoes fermentation in French oak barrels with partial malolactic fermentation for texture. Aging 18 months in 25% new oak barrels enhances richness while preserving minerality, creating a full-bodied Chardonnay with vibrant acidity and a refined, creamy finish.
