The grapes for our Gutsriesling (a regional-level classification) come primarily from the vineyards ringing our estate. The soils are sedimentary in nature, encouraging the vines to develop fruit bursting with unmistakable Riesling typicity. A small portion of the grapes for the Gutsrieslings is harvested in the Wiltinger Schlangengraben, where the vines mature atop red slate in the singular Saar climate.
