Tolpuddle’s 2024 Chardonnay comes from the Coal River Valley in Tasmania and is one of Australia’s most celebrated white wines. The 2024 vintage was praised for its purity, tension and balance, with a style that mixes ripe stone fruit and citrus with grilled-nut, marzipan and subtle lanolin complexity. It is a cool-climate Chardonnay built for both immediacy and graceful development in bottle.
Tasting Notes
The wine opens with grapefruit, verbena, lemon curd, peach and nectarine, layered with grilled nut, honey, marzipan and a touch of lanolin. On the palate it is supple and minerally, with saline detail, high-pitched acidity, excellent volume and a long, al dente finish.
Awards and Accolades

Australian Wine of the Year — James Suckling.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve chilled, around standard white Burgundy temperature, to show its tension and aromatic detail. The 2024 Tolpuddle Chardonnay is already very impressive, but it should also age beautifully over the medium term.
