(Wine Advocate Score 95) Located in Perdriel, in Luján de Cuyo, a classical zone in the province or Mendoza, the 2013 Malbec Finca Bella Vista had the same treatment as the rest of the single-vineyards, which means aging in 100% new French oak barriques. In addition, in 2013 they started using no less than 50% 160-liter barrels for the élevage, and against all odds the oak is really imperceptible here. There are wild berries, acidic strawberries, violets and some balsamic aromas that characterize the incredibly elegant and subtle nose. The palate reveals a silky texture and superb acidity with juicy fruit, sophisticated tannins, great balance and length. 18,000 bottles produced.

Aerated pump-overs with soft sprinkling of the cap, followed by pressing at the end of and up to 4 days after fermentation as determined by daily tasting results. No ltering. Fermented in cement tanks at a maximum temperature up to 93-95oF with extensive pumping over for better extraction. 15 months in new (100%) French Oak Barrels.
