Sourced mainly from San Luis Obispo with additional Monterey County fruit, the 2023 vintage followed a wet winter, delayed budbreak, and extended ripening from moderate weather, yielding exceptional acidity and concentration. Whole-cluster pressed Chardonnay undergoes barrel fermentation and lees aging to preserve coastal freshness and minerality at medium-plus body.
Tasting Notes
Clear straw hue; aromas of lemon zest, apricot, orange blossom, Bartlett pear, pineapple, green apple, and faint oak. Medium-plus bodied palate offers poached pear, Nilla wafer, caramel apple, chamomile, marzipan, grainy texture, bright integrated acidity, and crisp, refreshing mineral finish.
