The 2022 vintage came from 40-50-year-old vines on clay-limestone Turonian soils, hand-harvested and fermented with a short cold pre-fermentation maceration, then raised mostly in large foudres with the rest in concrete and steel. The wine is built for purity and ageworthy structure, with the estate noting that 2022 was hot and dry but still produced good-quality grapes after August rain.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of red and black berries with smoky, spicy touches and very little herbaceousness. The palate is medium-bodied, balanced, and juicy, with crunchy tannins, savory texture, and a chalky tuffeau finish.
