From Champagne Drappier in the Aube subregion of Champagne, the Cuvée Charles de Gaulle Brut NV is a refined blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay sourced from the estate's 75 hectares of organically farmed vineyards on limestone-rich soils that impart exceptional freshness and structure. Hand-harvested grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle with extended lees aging of at least 36 months to develop complexity and finesse. Named in honor of General de Gaulle's visits to the domaine, this signature cuvée yields a pale gold sparkling wine with persistent fine mousse and remarkable purity.

Tasting Notes An elegant, structured sparkling with ripe citrus and subtle brioche depth, reflecting Champagne's limestone terroir. The nose reveals green apple, lemon zest, white flowers, and hints of toasted almond and brioche. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and creamy, with vibrant acidity, fine bubbles, and flavors of citrus pith, pear, and subtle pastry, leading to a long, mineral-laced finish.

Awards and Accolades The NV Cuvée Charles de Gaulle Brut earned 92 points from James Suckling for its creamy texture and focused fruit.

Serving and Cellaring Serve chilled at 8-10°C without decanting to preserve effervescence. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, poultry, or creamy cheeses. Enjoy now through 2032, during which it will develop enhanced nutty and autolytic nuances.
