From M. Chapoutier in France’s Crozes-Hermitage appellation, the Petite Ruche Blanc 2023 is a refined 100% Marsanne sourced from younger vines on alluvial terraces shaped by the Rhône and Isère rivers, featuring a mixture of clay, pebbles, and gravel that impart freshness and aromatic purity.
Hand-harvested grapes undergo careful vinification to preserve the wine's natural qualities, typically involving fermentation in temperature-controlled conditions to maintain fruit expression and vibrancy.
Tasting Notes A fresh, aromatic Crozes-Hermitage Blanc with notes of white flowers, peach, and citrus, offering a medium-bodied palate of ripe stone fruit, subtle minerality, and balanced freshness from alluvial terraces. The nose displays peach, citrus, and floral hints. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, with bright acidity, fine texture, and flavors of stone fruit, citrus pith, and subtle minerality, leading to a long, refreshing finish.
Serving and Cellaring Serve at 10-12°C to highlight aromas. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, poultry, or soft cheeses. Enjoy now through 2030, during which it will develop subtle nutty and honeyed nuances.
