From Château La Nerthe, one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s oldest estates dating to 1560, the Clos de Beauvenir Blanc 2013 is a refined blend of 59% Roussanne, 33% Clairette, 6% Grenache Blanc, and 2% Bourboulenc sourced from a single, walled vineyard with chalky, galet-strewn soils that impart exceptional finesse and minerality. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2013 vintage—characterized by sunny conditions yielding concentrated yet fresh fruit—undergo slow pressing of whole grapes (except Roussanne), fermentation in temperature-controlled conditions, and 10 months' aging in 88% French oak barrels to enhance texture and complexity. Certified organic since 1998, this limited-production wine yields a pale yellow wine with green tints and brilliant clarity.

Tasting Notes An elegant, aromatic white with ripe stone fruit and floral vibrancy, reflecting Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s chalky terroir. The nose reveals brioche, honeysuckle, citrus, and white flowers, with hints of apricot and peach. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and seamless, with vibrant acidity, elegant oak integration, and flavors of fresh peach, lemon pith, and subtle spice, leading to a long, fresh finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2013 Clos de Beauvenir Blanc earned 93 points from JebDunnuck.com for its focused freshness, lively elegance, and terrific length.
