From Chêne Bleu’s Domaine de la Verrière in Crestet, Vaucluse, the Héloïse 2016 is a refined blend of 65% Syrah, 31% Grenache, and 4% Roussanne. Sourced from organic vineyards at 530–550 meters near Mont Ventoux on clay-limestone soils, it’s hand-harvested and aged 18 months in French oak barrels, offering a ruby hue with vibrant complexity.

Tasting Notes

A refined, elegant red with rich dark fruit and savory finesse, showcasing Vaucluse’s terroir.
The nose reveals blackberry, cherry, and cassis, with hints of black olives, licorice, and sage. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, fresh acidity, and flavors of red fruit, smoked meat, and a long, mineral finish.

Awards and Accolades

The 2016 Héloïse earned 94 points from Jeb Dunnuck for its complex red and black fruits in the 2016 vintage. Wine Advocate awarded 92–94 points, praising its silky, rich palate. Wine Spectator gave 92 points, noting its rich cherry and mineral depth.
