Blended from exemplary lots in Paso Robles' cooler areas, the 2023 Reserve Chardonnay emphasizes refinement through calcareous soils and cool-climate freshness. Aged 9 months in 50% new French oak, it balances ripe tropical fruit with delicate minerality and integrated barrel notes of vanilla and hazelnut. The pale straw result showcases Daou's pursuit of elegant, food-friendly Chardonnay with natural acidity and phenolic poise.
