Inspired by Saint-Émilion classics, Seventeen Forty Reserve 2022 blends Cabernet Franc dominance with Merlot from Paso Robles' limestone sites, emphasizing aromatic lift, savory depth and elegant structure. Hand-harvested grapes ferment with native yeasts, followed by 20 months in 80% new French oak (or similar extended élevage) to integrate plush oak with bright fruit and finesse. The slightly cloudy dark ruby result balances Paso ripeness with European poise.
