From Domaine de Bila-Haut, M. Chapoutier’s outpost in Latour-de-France, Roussillon, the Côtes du Roussillon Villages Lesquerde R.I. 2017 is a refined Syrah from granitic soils at 350m altitude in Lesquerde. Hand-harvested from organic and biodynamic vineyards, it’s aged 12 months in demi-muids and 6 months in concrete tanks, offering a dark crimson hue with vibrant complexity.

The nose reveals cassis, plum, and violet, with hints of graphite, gunpowder, and licorice. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and structured, with firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors of black fruit, spice, and a long, mineral finish.
