(Wine Advocate Score 92-94) Still in demi-muids and barrels when I visited, the 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Renaissance is a 60-40 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, again from the sandy soils hta characterize all of the wines frome this domaine. It's full-bodied, plush and round, loaded with black cherries and plums - and just a hint of vanilla on the lingering finish. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.
