From Domaine Georges Vernay in the northern Rhône, Le Pied de Samson is an IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Viognier sourced from higher-altitude sites that yield greater freshness and structure than classic Condrieu. The 2021 vintage captures the grape's signature opulence while retaining lift through cool-climate viticulture and precise winemaking. Named for a local legend, it showcases Vernay's mastery of Viognier outside appellation boundaries.

Grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel or neutral oak to preserve purity, with lees ageing adding creamy texture without heaviness. The result is a wine that rivals top Condrieu in fruit intensity and finesse.
