From the Santo Stefano vineyard on the Perno hill in Monforte d'Alba with sandy-clay-limestone soils, this single-vineyard Dolcetto uses traditional floating cap fermentation of estate-grown grapes at controlled temperature. Aged unoaked in concrete then inert tanks, Mauro Mascarello emphasizes freshness, fruitiness and richness despite lower 2022 yields from heat.
