From Helan Qingxue Vineyard in China's Ningxia, the Jia Bei Lan Baby Feet Marselan 2019 is a refined 100% Marselan sourced from the estate's demonstration vineyard at 1,138 meters elevation on the eastern slopes of Helan Mountain, featuring gravelly and loamy soils that impart balance and freshness. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2019 vintage—characterized by warm conditions yielding concentrated yet vibrant fruit—undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months' aging in French oak barrels to enhance complexity and elegance. As part of the experimental "Baby Feet" series named after winemaker Zhang Jing's daughter, this limited-production wine from the Ningxia Second Growth winery founded in 2005 with consultant Professor Li Demei emphasizes sustainable practices, yielding a ruby red wine with garnet edges and harmonious poise.
