From Domaine Henri Bourgeois, a family estate with ten generations of winemaking in France’s Pouilly-Fumé appellation, the JS-150 2023 is a refined 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from old vines on clay-limestone slopes in Saint-Andelain, where calcareous soils impart profound minerality and structure. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2023 vintage—characterized by moderate temperatures and cool nights yielding concentrated yet fresh fruit—undergo gentle pressing, with 80% fermented in stainless steel tanks and 20% in French oak barrels from the Tronçais forest, followed by 7-8 months' lees aging with periodic bâtonnage to enhance texture and complexity. Committed to sustainable viticulture with organic certification, this production yields a pale straw wine with green highlights and exceptional finesse.

Tasting Notes An elegant, mineral-driven white with vibrant citrus and smoky flint, reflecting Pouilly-Fumé’s calcareous terroir. The nose unveils lemon zest, pear, white flowers, and hints of gunflint and white pepper. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and poised, with bright acidity, silky texture, and flavors of citrus pith, green plum, and chalky minerality, leading to a long, focused finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2023 JS-150 earned 92 points from James Suckling. "This savory white has aromas of sliced apples, crushed rocks, grapefruit pith and a hint of ash. It’s medium- to full-bodied, chalky and textured, with salty undertones. Drink now."

Serving and Cellaring Serve at 10-12°C with 20-30 minutes of chilling to accentuate aromas. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with shellfish, goat cheese, or herb-roasted poultry. Enjoy now through 2035, during which it will develop enhanced honeyed and herbal nuances.
