From Champagne Henriot in France's Champagne region, the Brut Souverain NV is a refined multi-vintage blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 10% Pinot Meunier sourced from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards on chalky soils in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims that impart finesse and structure. Hand-harvested grapes from multiple vintages undergo gentle pressing and primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle via the traditional method and extended lees aging of at least 3 years before disgorgement to develop complexity and creaminess. With a dosage of 8 g/L, this production emphasizes the Henriot house style of richness and elegance, yielding a pale gold sparkling wine with persistent fine mousse and remarkable vibrancy.

Tasting Notes A crisp, minerally Champagne with well-cut acidity and a lightly chalky texture framing flavors of crunchy pear, lemon sorbet, oyster shell, pickled ginger, and toasted brioche. The nose exudes apple, pink grapefruit, and fresh-baked bread, with subtle dried flowers and smoke. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, with vibrant acidity, fine bubbles, and flavors of citrus, pear, and light brioche, leading to a long, even finish.

Awards and Accolades The NV Brut Souverain earned 92 points from Wine Spectator for its vivid, tightly meshed profile with poached apricot, toast point, preserved lemon, and white cherry notes.

Serving and Cellaring Serve chilled at 8-10°C without decanting to preserve effervescence. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, poultry, or soft cheeses. Enjoy now through 2030, during which it will develop enhanced autolytic and nutty nuances.
