From Château La Nerthe, one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s oldest estates dating to 1560, the Cuvée des Cadettes 2019 is a refined blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, and 10% Syrah sourced from a unique 20-acre vineyard with 85- to 100-year-old vines on sandy-clay soils that impart elegance and intensity. Hand-harvested grapes from the exceptional 2019 vintage—characterized by ideal sunny, dry conditions yielding concentrated yet fresh fruit—undergo whole-cluster fermentation in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts, followed by 12 months' aging in foudres to enhance purity and finesse. Certified organic since 1998, this production yields a deep garnet wine with purple hints and remarkable structure.

The nose displays cassis, black raspberry, violets, and hints of graphite, licorice, and pepper. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied and poised, with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors of juicy black plum, sandalwood, and dark cherry, leading to a long, spicy finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2019 Cuvée des Cadettes earned 95 points from JebDunnuck.com for its gorgeous elegance, superb concentration, and flawless balance.
