From old vines in a small clos within Les Corbeaux 1er Cru that was spared from frost, on clay-limestone soils providing a unique microclimate. Hand-harvested grapes are traditionally fermented with gentle extraction, then aged 12-18 months in French oak barrels (30-50% new), producing a medium-bodied wine of purity and structure at around 13.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Mid ruby hue; faintly spicy aromas with width, cherry fruit, and floral freshness. Palate shows beautiful energy, ripe tannins without dryness, layered complexity, and a burst of floral notes on the vibrant, mouthwatering finish.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 15-17°C in a Burgundy glass; decant 1 hour. Drink from 2026-2036 for developing savory notes; pairs with roasted poultry, game birds, or mushroom dishes.
