From Jeaunaux Robin in France's Champagne region, the Éclats de Meuliere Brut Nature NV is a refined blend of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, and 10% Chardonnay sourced from 40-year-old vines on the hillsides of the Vallée du Petit Morin in Talus-Saint-Prix, featuring chalky clay soils mixed with marl and small flint that impart minerality and freshness. Hand-harvested grapes from multiple vintages undergo gentle pressing and primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle via the traditional method and 3.5 years' aging on lees before disgorgement to develop complexity and structure. With a dosage of 5.5 g/L, this production emphasizes organic certification and artisanal techniques, yielding a light yellow sparkling wine with amber reflections and lively mousse.

Tasting Notes A bone-dry, mineral-fresh Champagne with notes of dried grapefruit, biscuits, sea shells, and salted almonds, featuring delicate fine bubbles and a crisp, integrated finish. The nose reveals stone fruit aromas of peach and lemon mingled with flinty mineral notes and a touch of brioche. On the palate, it is lively and textured, with precise acidity, saline balance, and flavors of chalk, citrus, and subtle smokiness, leading to a long, mouthwatering finish.

Awards and Accolades The NV Éclats de Meuliere Brut Nature earned 92 points from James Suckling for its freshness, bone-dry minerality, and well-integrated bubbles.

Serving and Cellaring Serve chilled at 8-10°C without decanting to preserve effervescence. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, pork, or oily fish. Enjoy now through 2030, during which it will develop enhanced nutty and autolytic nuances.
