From the iconic Les Pierres Vineyard with its cobblestone-packed soils that absorb heat for slow ripening amid Sonoma Valley's fog influence, hand-harvested grapes undergo whole-cluster pressing, natural settling, and barrel fermentation (100% in one-year-old French oak for 5 months sur lees). Blended components age 7 more months in three-year-old oak, bottled December 2023 after 6 months bottle age, yielding 14.2% alcohol, pH 3.25, TA 6.3 g/L (dry).
Tasting Notes
Beautiful pale straw; aromas of lemon zest, wet stone, key lime pie, citrus blossom, bright lemon curd, light cedary oak, baking spices, and hazelnut. Palate melds bright citrus acidity with oak, delivering lime, mineral, roasted nuts, sweet spices, elegant creaminess, and medium-plus mineral finish.
Serving and Cellaring
